World Outreach

A Global Gospel

Ultimately, The Great Commission is a Mission to all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). Mountain View Bible Church wants to be a part of Jesus Christ’s Global Gospel Strategy. True outreach begins at home and spreads out from there to the whole world (Acts 1:8).

While Biblical Missions do not work from the outside-in, rather from the inside-out, MVBC doesn’t dare neglect the global missions mandate of Jesus. We hope to be a blessing to more than our own congregation and the San Diego area. We want to grow into a Global Gospel reality that cannot be ignored. We aren’t there yet, but we hope to be a global-impact congregation in the future.

We Have a Long Way to Go

Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:12).

At least we’re honest! No local church has everything (or, very few of them do). We all have many areas for growth opportunities. This is one of ours. The Global Gospel Mandate of Jesus is a heavy burden on our hearts. However, we believe the best way to accomplish our part in Jesus’ Gospel Mission is to grow up in maturity as a church and then reach out – not vise versa (Ephesians 4:11-13).

Mountain View Bible Church wants to be a real help to the Body of Christ on earth. Therefore, we desire to equip our own congregation, as we see them on to Christian maturity, as a preliminary preparation for global missions.

By the Way

MVBC does have a number of global missionaries in our congregation. In additon, we have, as a church, sent out missionaries to various countries. We hope to do much more of this as we grow.
