Acts 4:12
There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.

In our times truth has become relative. What one person thinks is true is true to them; and what another person sees as true is true to them. Even if both people come out at the end with two different “truths” it’s still acceptable in our culture to allow both individuals their “truths.” Now I’m not saying that each person shouldn’t be able to think freely for themselves. However, in the end, if one person thinks humans came from aliens and the other from apes, someone has to be right, and someone has to be wrong. If one person thinks the color blue is blue and the other person claims blue is red, someone has to be right and someone wrong.

Is there ultimate truth about heaven? Jesus Christ and the Apostles proclaimed there is. As Peter preached to the Sanhedrin in Acts 4 he made the bold proclamation that “there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” He learned this from Jesus Himself who had taught His disciples that “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me (John 14:6).”

As far as religion goes, someone has to be right and someone wrong. All of the religions on earth can’t all be right at the same time. If this were the case they’d all be wrong at the same time. For each would have to have truth mixed with lies in them. Each would have to say, “Our way is the truth. However this other religion is true too. Therefore, they are right when they say that we are wrong.” You see how everything begins to get real mixed up real quick when truth becomes relative?

As a follower of Jesus Christ I believe Him. I believe what Jesus said is ultimate truth. I don’t believe He was wrong about anything because I believe He is the one true, living God. I respect that people have different views on how to get to heaven, or whether there is a heaven at all. They should be able to believe whatever they wish. But, I should too. And I believe Jesus’ testimony. I believe Peter’s testimony. In the end, there is only one name under heaven by which I can be saved – that name is the name of Yahshua Messiah (Jesus Christ).
